Next Hack-a-Thon Weekend Focuses on Social Innovation

Next month during President’s Day weekend (February 17-20), Repair the World and local partners will the host The Social Innovation Challenge at sites throughout East Liberty.  The structure is simple: anyone can submit an idea under the umbrella of Art Innovation, Faith-based Innovation, or Innovation through Technology, teams will be formed and will work for two days developing a product and a pitch with a corps of Mentors.

Starting Friday February 17th at 6PM will be a Dine and Discuss at the Repair the World Workshop.  An authentic dinner will be provided by from the Muslim Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh.  Saturday will kick-off at at the Repair the World Workshop for the Launch and Team Assignments. This will be followed by a full day of work at Alpha Lab, Alpha Lab Gear, and the Repair the World Workshop and continue into Sunday.

The event will wrap up on Monday evening at 6PM at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater where the final presentations will provide insight and solutions to innovation in Arts, Faith, and Technology to grow the greater Pittsburgh region as one.  Are you, your business, or your organization interested in joining??
